I was thumbnailing some environments to shot some different ides but not for any specific theme. I ended up choosing a sketch that looked more like a city of rocks and mountains. I figured I could be a cool base to start from. At my starting point I had no clue on what I was going for just that it had to be something with big rocks and snow. I was pretty sure about the colour choice cause I wanted the overall feel, to be cold. During the process I got more and more involved with the environment that it almost felt like I was there and in there I wanted to discover something and a hidden temple was the obvious choice for me cause I love all kinds of ancient temples no matter what culture. I added characters to give a sense of scale and I image myself the guy standing on the huge rock/mountain and my friend closer to the temple in case a hungry bear lurking behind a rock :-) anyway I hope you enjoy it! feel free to comment and crit
